Forced to Buy, with no Guarantee of Coverage.

You’ve heard the rhetoric for, why we need change;

  • Millions uninsured
  • Insurance companies deny coverage
  • Some people can’t get insurance, because, they have a pre existing condition.

Then let us pray, that the Senate does not pass the health care bill, moving though the Senate now, because if it passes you will have;

  • Millions uninsured, according to various sources, from the CBO to the Cato Institute, between 12, and 20 million will still be uninsured. That is roughly the same number or higher than the current level of people who cannot get insurance.
  • obama care will deny coverage. According to an AP piece “As currently written, the Senate Democratic health care bill would permit insurance companies to place annual limits on the dollar value of medical care, as long as those limits are not “unreasonable.” The bill does not define what level of limits would be allowable, delegating that task to administration officials.” This language is drawing sharp criticism from patient advocate groups, since it gives a green light for companies to deny care.
  • So why is the Senate going to allow you to be denied coverage if you get a major illness, such as cancer? Pre existing conditions. That is right, insurance companies will not be able to deny coverage based on pre existing conditions, so they have to make it up somewhere. You won’t be denied coverage now if you have had a medical problem in the past, but you may end up not getting covered anyway. In addition, government will not prohibit companies from making the bureaucracy to get the coverage cumbersome, leaning towards impossible.

For those who have been cheering this bill on, did you really think obama and pals were going to make coverage available to everyone? Did you think it was going to be free? Did you think your health care worries would be over? Did you really think that this debate in Washington is about health care?

Welcome to the real world. If this albatross passes, you may get, the so called “right” to buy inflated coverage, but what good will it do you, if some pencil pusher cuts off your insurance coverage. Forced to buy, with no guarantee of service, now that is change.
